"When I was 9 or something, I walked down to the candy store, and the manager was being held up at gunpoint. The robber grabbed the money, tried to shoot us because we were witnesses, but we ducked and he missed, and he ran. I started crying I was so scared, and the manager gave me a free bag of candy and walked me home."

"When I was a kid, I used to play in a large forest with my cousins near their home. It was a pretty desolate part of the city, and there weren't any other homes for a few miles. Well one time, we were in the middle of the forest trying to catch small fish in a creek, when we looked up and saw an adult man from across the creek running down a hill slope. As he began nearing us, we saw that he had a large knife in his hand, so we dropped our nets and ran as fast as we could back towards the house. The man ran across the creek and continued chasing us, and in the panic my cousins and I accidentally split. I didn't know the forest as well as they did and I got lost, so I hid in some bushes. I was alone there for about 15 minutes when I heard my uncle calling my name. Needless to say, I never set foot back in that forest again."

"Late at night in my basement you can hear what sounds like a woman coughing at certain times of the evening. I don't scare easy, but I do find it a bit disconcerting, nonetheless."

"When I was about 9 or 10, my mom had this statue, and it always bothered me. It was a white statue of a women with a missing arm. She kept it in her room, and sometimes I've seen the thing move. One time, I swear it turned and looked right at me and just stared."

"I was down south with my family, and my Dad and I thought we would check out the cows enclosed (by waist height electric fences) in the fields, we managed to climb over the fences and near the cows, but they weren't paying us any attention. So Dad started clapping whilst I yelled, next thing we knew they were chasing us! We managed to narrowly escape back over the fence, though my Dad screamed "Argh! I just zapped me bullocks!" (obviously resulting in a laughing fit by yours truly). When the cows arrived before the fence we were behind, they started either urinating or humping each other. Truly horrifying :P"

"So I was going out to my bus stop one morning about two years ago (I was in middle school). Well, I was sitting at my bus stop smoking (I am not suppose to be smoking of course but who cares anyway). I was sitting there, and it was 6:30 am, not many cars were out, well this one kept going by my stop every ten mins. I really creeped me out. Then, out of nowhere, when there weren't any cars around, I was walking across the street to my friends house and that car pulled in and tried to run me over!! I jumped in the ditch to avoid it, but then the car turned around and headed back my way. I eventually found out when they pulled in my driveway that it was my aunt trying to scare me. Ahh. I never cross the road in the morning anymore."
